Monterey

Sorry that it has taken me forever to get these pictures up.  Things have been a little nutty at work (and I've been watching the entire 6 seasons of Lost on Netflix...).  These photos are from our trip to Monterey during our Christmas break.

By the Ocean and down the street from the Monterey Aquarium at Cannery Row

Chris's whale watch this fall took a path out of the Monterey Bay right behind where he is standing in this photo.

Swarming fish in the aquarium.  Chris and I stood watching them for a good 30 minutes.

Another beautiful swarm formation.  I believe the technical term is a fish donut.

We took a break from the aquarium and enjoyed some Ghiradelli coffee on a tiny beach nearby.

This is the life.

This is the beach where Chris put his feet in the Pacific ocean for the first time four years ago.

Yup, Christmas in CA.  This image nails it.

Cleaning off and getting ready to go back to the Aquarium.

For lunch we found a nice little restaurant called Vitollos and grabbed some fish and chips.
Nothing makes you want to eat fish more than spending a few hours appreciating their beauty.
