Douglas F. Carlson the Fifth

This weekend, Mae and I drove out to Sauvie Island Farms to cut our Christmas tree. We found a beautiful 8 foot Douglas Fir this year (our living room has pretty high ceilings) and fortunately were able to fit it inside the car without any problems! Here are a few pics from our day.

Searching for the perfect match.

Found it!

It was as easy as it looks - no sweating or breaks every 10 seconds required...

As you can see, I made the transition to Oregonian pretty quickly.

Wheeling Dougie back to the car.

De-moused and ready to go home! ...and the tree and wreath were ready too!

The final product.

Ready for warm holiday celebrations!

My parents bought this beautiful "pyramid" when they were in Germany last summer. Mae and I have really been enjoying lighting in the evenings and watching Santa terrorize the little girl who can never seem to get away.
