Well, after a little over 3000 miles of driving in 6 days, we made it! Yesterday we stopped through Lake Tahoe, survived the Donner Pass, and crossed the Golden Gate Bridge into our new home city. Due to vacation traffic returning to the Bay Area, our trip took about 4-5 hours longer than it should have, but it was worth the effort. The evening shadows cast by the majestic Golden Gate and the distant city skyline as we emerged from the Waldo tunnel will certainly be ingrained in our memories for years to come. We are all happy to have finally arrived and will be heading down to Menlo Park today to finalize arrangements with our new apartment. After that, we'll head to the beach for some well needed rest. More updates to come this week!
