Christmas in California!

I hope all of our friends and family have had a very happy Christmas season!  We have really enjoyed all the cards and packages that we received from everybody.  It was nice to be reminded that we are loved, even though we are so far away.  Christopher and I had a nice quiet Christmas and have been enjoying our time together this week.  Here are some pictures from our trip into San Francisco on Christmas Eve.

We had a spunky Irish waitress who was kind enough to take a picture for us.  You can see her in the mirror to my right.

We were given a table in a little corner window area.  It was cozy and Christmassy!

The view out the window from our table.

Our food was delicious!!

Here's a picture of the restaurant from outside.  The blurred waiter in white towards the right is clearing our little window seat.
Grace Cathedral was just one block away from our restaurant, so it was easy to make it to the Christmas Eve service.

This was taken after the service, facing the front of the church.

This is facing the back of the church.
After church we headed home, put on our jammies and waited for Santa!

Pre-jammies
We had a nice relaxing day on Christmas.  After taking it easy for most of the day, we had my co-worker, and her husband and baby over for some late afternoon nibbles.  Later in the evening we had one of Christopher's classmates over for my mother's traditional Christmas dinner, beef bourguignon.

We are not used to having babies around, so we had to put all the candles and breakables out of reach.

We have loads of pictures from the rest of our adventures this week.  I will hopefully get those up soon.  Happy New Year!
